Reid Brostoff is a Founding Engineer at Rehearsals, bringing together enterprise infrastructure, generative AI, and hands-on product engineering. At IBM, he designed cloud-native AI and distributed systems for enterprise clients, leading architecture workshops and proof-of-concept implementations. He then became one of the first engineers at an AI-native startup, building its platform and generative products for brands before an acquihire into Omnicom, where he led multimodal AI ad-generation tools.
At Rehearsals, Reid applies that creative AI and infrastructure background to systems that simulate real-world behavior from rich human data. He earned his Electrical and Computer Engineering degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where he TA’d in computer science for an 800+ person class and served as president of the club tennis team. His engineering capstone focused on designing hardware acceleration specifically for Fast Fourier Transform processing, and while still in school, he designed software for IoT sensor systems used in post-occupancy analysis across hospitals, laboratories, and offices.
He also writes “The De-Slop,” a first-person think piece series that serves as one of the few parts of his life intentionally untouched by AI.
